The term „project“ has several interpretations. In general, it is a unique activity for the project management. Project start date and finish date of the project are targeted on the object achievement. A project serves to create a particular product or service considering time, costs, resources, quality and permissible risks. To differentiate the project undertaking the following characteristics must be included. An activity is not a project, if the object is not defined from the beginning or it will be substantially changed during the process; frameworks (deadlines, resources, time, quality and permissible risks) are nor calculated, the result is not unique (e.g. cooking lunch daily).

The project has a finish date, defined objects and frameworks. These objectives are folmulated as SMART criteria: specific, measurable, achieveable, realistic, time terminated, ethical dokumentiert.
